Great little video to understand the concept of SEO
New Website Support & Aftercare
I have heard a lot of horror stories the past couple of weeks of businesses with newly developed websites. Some of these businesses find it hard to get any bit of support after the site is completed from the web design company that developed their new site. Not only that but they have been let down when it comes to the usability of the site as the website company did not listen to the requirements of the business.
I try to build all my websites on servers with a company I think are the best in the business: letshost. From experience they are the most reliable hosting company in Ireland. If you have a question about an email or if your site is giving errors, letshost have great technicians to get the problem sorted. Now don’t get me wrong: they are not going to help you change an image on one of your site pages but working alongside your web guy they can be very effective in sorting out problems.
Also, once the site is done and if you are unhappy with the general site it can be very difficult to transfer that website and domain name to a more trusted hosting provider like letshost.
Do yourself a favour: before you decide to choose a web design company give me a call. Not only will you have great support after the site is completed, you will also have piece of mind that you are not stuck with a company that makes you wait days or even weeks to make changes to the site.
So when you are selecting a web site designer be sure and ask them what after service they offer. Do not get stuck with a website you cannot update yourself or be waiting days for your current company to get back to you!

Perfect Facebook Profile Images Everytime
To get the perfect profile picture in Facebook is kind of a struggle for some of us. We all know how frustrating it can be to upload a profile picture onto our Facebook profile or page without it looking out of sorts.
It can be a pain to get the size, spacing and general layout to our liking. Also Facebook don’t exactly give us guidelines on how best to deal with this problem.
It’s a small problem but a problem none the less.
Try this little tip: If you are looking to change your profile image or want to upload a new profile picture, make sure you take full advantage of the space available for your image.
I have tried many dimensions and have come to the conclusion that the measurements on the right are the best fitting in terms of quality / resolution:
Below you will also see examples of these dimensions in action and their resulting layout / impact that they can have on the whole appearance of your Facebook profile or page.
What is Bounce Rate?
I have been asked this question many times by my clients. Bounce Rate basically tells you what percentage of your visitors are “bouncing” away after landing on your site (e.g., they just visit one page and leave before clicking on to a second page inside your site). The lower the bounce rate percentage on your website, the better, because it means that visitors are getting engaged by your content and that they are clicking to visit a second (third and so on) page on your site.
How do you know the exact bounce rate on your site? A web analytics program like Google Analytics will automatically track the numbers for you.
